Why I don’t offer brow threading

Threading is a very popular way for removing hair from the face and eyebrows. These are my own reasons as to why I don’t offer it in my studio.

Threading should only be used on hair you never want to see again, this is because of the way it removes the hair. The thread wraps around the hair follicle pulling it out from all different angles, if the hair is not pulled out and broken on the surface, it leaves damage to the follicle resulting in hairs that grow back curly, out of place or not at all. There is no doubt that it leaves your skin feeling smooth but it also leaves the top layer of skin, the epidermis damaged and with thousands of pathways for infection. I have also noticed slowly darkening of the skin.

In simple terms I see threading like laser hair removal- only do it if you never want to see the hair again. I personally would never put thread to my brows.
